Fall Sewing Project

Maple Leaf Quilt Block

Camelot Fabrics reached out to me recently to see if I was interested in sampling some fabric and interfacing. What a silly question, of course!

I decided to make a fall themed project because they sent me these beautiful warm colors. A classic Maple Leaf quilt block is what came to mind. I used the cream colored Oxford Chambray and rust colored Fresh Solids fabric from Camelot to create this 6” finished size block.

I loved it so much that I made 3 more blocks. I then sewed these together to make a 12” tote bag using my Simple Sunday Tote pattern.

I also used Camelot’s Behind the Seams interfacing to help with the structure of the bag. Fuse Ease Heavy interfacing was used for the straps and Cloud Fill Fleece was used for the interior interfacing of the bag.

You can shop the Behind the Seams collection HERE.

I think it turned out super cute!

Let me know if you make your own! I would love to see your version of this classic block.
